In the 1405 academic year, the third cohort of 110 students graduated at the bachelor’s level from various departments of the Faculties of Sharia and Education at Nuristan University. They were presented to society with the aim of serving their communities.

The graduation ceremony was attended by the Governor of Nuristan Province, Haji Qari Zain-ul-Abidin Abid; the President of Nuristan University, Professor Hamidullah Abid; the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, Lecturer Habib-ur-Rahim Shinwari; the Vice President for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Sheikh Mawlawi Sediqullah Sabawoon; university professors and administrative staff; representatives of various government institutions in Nuristan Province; religious scholars; tribal elders; students; and relatives of the graduates.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs welcomed the participants and congratulated the graduates, their parents, and their professors on their graduation. He described the graduating students as a great source of pride for Nuristan University.

Following this, the Head of the Department for the Follow-up of Decrees and Orders, Mawlawi Mohammad Ibrahim Kawoon, described universities as essential centers for meeting the needs and requirements of society. He said that universities are respected educational institutions from which knowledgeable and trustworthy individuals graduate to serve society and religion.

During the ceremony, the President of Nuristan University, Professor Hamidullah Abid, read a message of congratulations and goodwill from the Minister of Higher Education, Sheikh Mawlawi Nida Mohammad Nadim, addressed to the students and professors. In his message, the minister expressed his assurance of support and cooperation for the development and advancement of Nuristan University.

At the end of the ceremony, the Governor of Nuristan Province congratulated the graduates and advised them that, as a first priority, they should serve their parents and their people, and then contribute to the service and preservation of the current system.

He further told the students and participants that the current administration intends to establish a university that will attract students from different countries around the world, where they will receive both Islamic and modern education.

The ceremony concluded with the distribution of graduation certificates to the graduates.
