One-Day Fire Safety Awareness Seminar Held for Faculty and Administrative Staff of Nuristan University
A one-day awareness seminar on the identification of firefighting equipment and its proper use was held for the faculty members and administrative staff of Nuristan University.
The seminar was organized by the Provincial Fire Department in coordination with the General Directorate of Staff Affairs of the university and was conducted at the PDC Center.
During the seminar, Abdul Wali Arkani, Head of Firefighting Operations at the Fire Department, provided comprehensive information on identifying firefighting equipment, its proper use, the causes of fires, necessary preventive measures, the elements that cause fires, and other related topics.
In addition to demonstrating the practical use of firefighting equipment, he urged the university authorities to install fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment throughout the university so that they could be used effectively in the event of a fire.
At the conclusion of the seminar, the university’s Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs, Professor Abdullah Abid, expressed his appreciation to the seminar presenter for providing faculty members and administrative staff with useful information on this important topic.
He also requested assistance from the Fire Department in providing firefighting equipment and added that a similar seminar should be organized for the university’s students in the future.
